De-stress...

Lately I've been asked a lot how do I or what do I do to de-stress? My answer to that is another question...do I look relaxed? But since apparently I do...here's what I do.

We all know life gets a bit tougher as we grow older, you start wondering- Have I done enough? What else do I need to do? What else should I give or do for the kids? What should I do or not with for the Hubby? Do I need this? Do I need that? Let's face it, those are the questions we ask ourselves that can make you stressed, oh, let's not forget work and bills. The latter two no worries, thus far ;) We can also worry about relationships, friendships..etc...

But anyway, there's a myriad of things we can worry about that will eventually become stressful. The solution- identify the problem.

Things I do to de-stress! (finally :p)

If in an angry mood- listen to Mexican music- Timbiriche, siempre funciona ;)

Mellow mood- Tina Turner, or anything from the 80's.

Bit-stressed-but-want-to-cheer-up-mood- Kpop, anything from CNBlue ;)

So what if music doesn't work?

Well last time I just wanted to forget an argument and once I had the house to myself, I bumped into " A Love so beautiful" on Netflix. I completely forgot about the time and just watched 6 straight episodes, which last 30 minutes each. The Chinese drama left me feeling super happy and that aww-kinda- feeling.

Other things that work for me, no surprise here! World War two movies or series. Band of Brother's always works. Let's face it, who can resist an episode with Mr. Pretty blue eyes (Eion Bailey)!

Read a book, the two above always work for me.

Also, set the atmosphere. I make it a point to always turn my candles on, put on the fairy lights and drink either Lavender tea, chamomile or a good ol' English Earl Grey.

Last but not least, once you calmed down and thought things thru, talk things thru with other's such as  your other half or bestie, or whoever you trust.

These are only a few of the things I do.

Let's remember to breath in and out...Remember there's more to life than to stress and worry about things you can't control.

Have a lovely week.

Alicia ;)
