A lot of the time when I think of Korean culture many things pop into mind, but mostly creativity and fashion and a bit of K-pop. So, when I was thinking of what blog post to make, this was a no-brainer! This post has one of my favorite Korean brands Gentle Monster and also Jennie from Blackpink! This is a winning combination!
Gentle Monster is not your typical eye wear brand. Their designs are from creative to unique! Every time I have a look thru the website I suddenly wonder, am I cool enough for a particular style? Well, guess what? We are! Gentle Monster has something for everyone. So this brings me to introduce you this superb new collaboration Jennie X Gentle Monster.
If you are a k-pop fan you will probably know of the group Blackpink and the very cool Jennie. I must confess I'm a little bit new to Blackpink. So I didn't know if I was going to be interested in the collection! Well, I was hooked! The campaign for this collection is definitely eye-catching! pardon the pun! Not only does Jennie look super-cool but the glasses, the chains, it all makes you want to buy it all, and believe I have. I'm getting my hands on the 1996's! The glasses I chose are designed from her birth year, every single pair of glasses and chains have a sentimental value, from her birth year, to childhood memories. The Jentle Home collection and I quote " Remind us of our own innocent dreams and hopes we often forget and lose'' That's a beautiful quote attached to an equally beautiful collection!!
If you have the chance to be in Seoul in May feel free to visit their pop-up space in Garusogil, Sinsa dong, Seoul. This will be opening in May. So keep an eye on it!
