Omar Mansoor's Madama Butterfly...

As you all probably know I'm a big admirer of Omar and and the detail he puts to his collections, collections that are actually wearable and will flatter you. This new collection is no different and I'm a big fan of all the dresses but in particular the 3rd blue one, is just exquisite and I NEED it! :D
Anyway enough of me babbling on and on... I leave you all with a preview of Omar's new collection and the history behind it. In case you want to see his other collection I leave you guys with a link here.

‘’ Madama Butterfly’’

For his 7th season showing at London Fashion Week, Omar took us on a journey to the Golden Age of the Opera, titled after David Belasco's hit play ‘Madama Butterfly’ staged in London in 1900. This play has two characters, the teenage Butterfly (Cio-Cio-San) who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant in Nagasaki. He abandons her, and then returns with a wife. After a first-night disaster, it became one of the best-loved operas.

Omar collected visions of the opulent lyrics of the opera, along its arias, duets, trios, and choruses, and transformed them into his collection for Spring/Summer 2014

Omar’s collection consists mainly of the two colours, royal blue and black.
The royal blue colour depicts the merry days when the couple is together while black represent the gloom in the story. The collection consisted of multiple silhouettes from sleek gowns trimmed with satin to dresses embellished with filigree embroidery and sequins as a synthesis of fashion and art.

A combination of day and evening wear, the prĂȘt line includes both knee and full length dresses constructed using a range of fabrics from Chantilly lace to Satins and Velvet blended with Lycra for the perfect body shape
